Neliswa “Siwe” Cele (25) who joined Ukhozi FM at the age of 15 broadcasting a kiddies program, State Your Mind, is the youngest broadcaster of the channel.
In an interview with the newspaper, she said that being a talkative child was what led her to the station where she has lived for most of her life.
“I grew up at the station and I learned a lot about radio. I have gained a lot and continue to benefit from being part of this radio station, ”she said.
SHe was recently announced as one of the presenters of Ukhozi FM TV.
“I am delighted to be involved in such a milestone and to be given the opportunity to be the voice of the youth on various vodcasts. As many young people are strong in modern technology, they will be happy to hear that their channel is coming up with modern programs, ”said Siwe.
The young woman has achieved a lot as in 2017 she was also awarded the Department of Higher Education for her contribution to the country’s young people.
She said that from the time she was in primary school to high school, the university had been holding on to everything since she completed her law degree at the University of KwaZulu-Natal while she was broadcasting.
SHe said her many talents made her restless as when she was not on the radio she was also an Afro-Latin dance teacher.
