The alleged internal politics at SABC radio station, Ukhozi FM have caused the person who set to be the programs manager to make a U-turn and change her mind about the position.
It will be remembered that Mzansi Celebrity News © had reported last month that Ukhozi FM has hired Ntsoaki Shoeshoe Qhu to be the programs manager.
We also reported that she was seen in the building of the station in a meeting which also discussed new shows for 2022/2023 season.
She was set to replace Zandile Tembe who left last year.
When contacted last month, Qhu had denied that she has passed the interview, she agreed that she had been in an interview but does not know the outcome.
It now turns out that she passed it and was even called to sign the contract.
According to Isolezwe, Ntsoaki was given a contract but she turned it down.
She even confirmed herself that she did receive the contract.
“I can confirm that I was given a contract by Ukhozi FM but I turned it down because there were opportunities I had to look out which were the best,” said Ntsoaki.
A source revealed that she turned it down after she was advised of facing a struggle due to internal politics of the station.
However, she did not want to comment that and referred to SABC for comment.
Unfortunately, SABC spokesperson, Gugu Ntuli made a promise that her colleague will answer questions that were sent but never answered them.
Currently, the position is held by Mandla Mdletshe who use to do Jazz on Sunday. Mdletshe took over to be the acting programs manager but it looks like he will still be acting as the process of hiring in SABC takes quite some long time.
According to LinkedIn profile, Shoeshoe has a massive and vast experience in media and radio industry.
She is currently the station manager of Voice of Wits. She was once a producer on 702, SA FM, Kaya FM and Radio Zibonele.
