L’vovo Is Currently Hospitalized After Suffering A Stroke In Durban While Performing

Thokozani “L’vovo Derrango” Ndlovu, a Kwaito musician, is currently hospitalized after suffering a stroke in Durban. Friday night during his concert at Indwedwe, the multi-award-winning musician suffered a “minor stroke.”

According to his family and company, the 42-year-old celebrity is “responding well to treatment.” His record label, Derrango Records, verified this on Saturday, December 24. On December 23, Ndlovu reportedly suffered a small stroke during his concert in Ndwedwe in KwaZulu-Natal.

Apparently undergoing medical care in a hospital, he is reportedly responding positively. “We respectfully request that you keep him in your prayers, and we are convinced that he will emerge from this terrible position even stronger,” the record company said in a statement. The family of L’vovo also requested seclusion during this difficult period. Ndlovu spent a month in ICU at Greys Hospital earlier this year, following a car accident.

The South African earlier stated that in his hometown of Newcastle, KwaZulu-Natal, L’vovo was engaged in a head-on collision with a vehicle. His leg was severely hurt in the vehicle accident, and he informed Isolezwe that he is currently relearning how to walk. The news comes just one day after another Kwaito and Gqom performer and member of Big Nuz, Mandla ‘Mampintsha’ Maphumulo, suffered a small stroke following a concert, was hospitalized, and subsequently passed away.
