In 2021, we bid farewell to E.tv’s long-running drama series Rhythm City which had been airing for 14 years the show was then replaced by House of Zwide and the viewers have grown to love the show.
The show is loved for its well written plot with the right amount of drama as well as its talented cast members who bring the characters to life and one of the loved characters is “Shoki” a character played by Shalate Sekhabi.
The 22-year-old actress was born in Mafikeng in the North West and can fluently speak Setswana and English. Shalate is also a educated, she graduated from Crawford College in Pretoria in 2018, and a year later she enrolled at Witswatersrand University to study cinema and TV drama.
Besides working as an actress and a model, Shalate is also a musician.
Shalate also loves tattoos, she is an inked girl in real life. She has several tattoos around her body.
