There is no doubt that GC played by actor, Khaya Dladla is one of the most loved characters on Uzalo, his spunk, and zest for life has awarded him the adoration of many avid viewers of the show especially when it comes to his somewhat broken English moments which have gone viral on social media.

A character such as GC is one that viewers would love to see often on television; however, it does not seem like the case when it comes to the creators of Uzalo.

According to a statement released to Isolezwe, there is confirmation that the actor will now only be on call when he is required to be on set.

Speaking to the publication, Khaya Dladla did confirm that he will indeed only appear on Uzalo when he is needed.

“It’s true, viewers will only now see me a few times on the show, my role on the show will no longer be the same, but I hope I will still make viewers happy just the same way I used to,” he said.

Last year, the creators of Uzalo confirmed that Nay Maps, Nokuthula Mabika and Glen Mabasa would not be returning to the show’s fifth season, maybe this is the producer’s way of gently letting go of Khaya as well.
