The journey of yet another actor in playing a certain character on one of DSTV shows has unfortunately come to an end.

Zolisa Xaluva is a South African media personality known for being an actor. He is popular known from Generations before it became Generations The Legacy whereby he played the character of Jason who was involved with Sibusiso Dhlomo’ son. Before he joined Generations, he appeared as Lwazi on SABC’s show called Tsha Tsha. Xaluva has not only been part of those two Mzansi shows.

He has also appeared in shows such as Ugugu No Andile, Rhythm City that came to an end, Hustle, The Queen and others. Zolisa who was known to be currently appearing on Gomora Mzansi has allegedly been fired from the show and will soon no longer be seen playing his character on the mentioned show.

Xaluva played the character of Melusi who was a Principal at a local school on the show married to Gladys who being a social worker. In playing his character, Zolisa as Melusi was also involved with another woman on the show being Nthati who is Katlego Danke in real life.

 

 

 

A Source revealed information in relation to Zolisa being fired and said, “Producers have been trying to get rid of him but Multichoice ( which owns DSTV where the show is broadcast) refused to let him go citing a rating effect. They eventually gave the producers a go ahead to kill off Melusi. He’s a brilliant actor but there are things that producers won’t tolerate”.

The source also revealed that Zolisa in playing his character of Melusi knew how to speak up for himself when he was not happy with something and was not even scared to confront the producers about it. However, he was viewed as a bad person in doing so.

His exit from the show has been confirmed by Gomora Publicist being Linda Matsolo but many details were not revealed regarding him leaving.

It is so sad to see Melusi Xaluva leaving Gomora Mzansi as through this story lines especially when he was caught up between two woman knew how to excel in entertaining and educating viewers. He was one of those who drew viewers into watching the mentioned show, things will not be the same with him leaving the show. However, he did well in playing his character and continued to create a name for himself in the entertainment industry.
