South Africa – Well it seems the weekend is starting off with a bang in South Africa as an intoxicated madala was already recorded enjoying himself. This comes as a video has now gone viral of a Madala doing a traditional dance while singing about Kelly Khumalo while Maskandi music is playing in the background. This just proves that South Africa is a country of many different cultures and that the weekend always kicks off with a bang. Maskandi is a kind of Zulu folk music that is evolving with South African society. It is the music of the man walking the long miles to court a bride, or to meet with his Chief; a means of transport. Kelly Khumalo became famous after the release of her debut album T.K.O in 2005. She was named the Best Newcomer of 2005 in the Afro Pop music circuit. The Past, The Present, The Future album was released on 5 November 2012. In May 2013, She scooped an award at the 19th South African Music Awards. What do you think of this Madala? Please leave a comment below, we want to hear from you.
