Actress Dawn Thandeka has shown her support for a Zimbabwean political party Zimbabwe African National Congress (ZANC) after she appeared on one of the party’s poster.
Dawn Thandeka will be a guest at the ZANC upcoming event to be held in Bulawayo on a date that is yet to be announced.
ZANC was formed towards the end of last year and was formally registered by the Zimbabwe Electoral Commission (Zec).
In February this year, ZANC president, Timothy Mncube, told a local publication that his party would concentrate on convincing the electorate to appreciate its policy proposals which he said were the key towards unlocking a better Zimbabwe.
Recently, the DiepCity actress who plays the role of Mashenge opened up about her challenges after revealing that she is recovering from a knee injury which she sustained while on set for the popular Mzansi Magic soapie.
Dawn Thandeka surprised her followers after she took to her Instagram page and revealed that she was disabled for three months and therefore unable to work.
She began her Instagram video by telling her fans that she was injured while doing what she loves and captioned her video:
“On the 16th of April 2021, while doing something that I love doing more than anything else in the world, a terrible accident happened.
Her fans on DiepCity had been left wondering if the actress had exited the show.
Dawn Thandeka plays a domestic worker, a wife to Bonga (Hamilton Dlamini), and a mother to daughters Nox (Nozuko Ncayiyane) and Lungile (Luyanda Shezi).
