Congratulations are in order for the award winning gospel star, Dumi Mkokstad whose wife has given birth.

The star now has two girls as the eldest is from his previous relationship and now he has had the first child in his marriage with medical doctor, Dr. Ziphozonke Nzimande.

The excitement on Dumi is a lot as he revealed that it has been fifteen days since their daughter arrived on this world but they chose to keep her away from social media. It’s an agree with his wife to keep the child away from social media until she has grown, that’s why many people did not know she has arrived already.

He expressed happiness as he stated that the mood is lit in his home with the arrival of the new born baby.

Dumi’s first born is nine years old.

 

 

 

 

 

As this happens, Dumi has joined the cast of SABC 1 soap, Uzalo in which he started to make an appearance on Monday, the 28th March. In this show, he plays the role of himself as Dumi Mkokstad. He shares a scene with Thabo Mnguni who plays the role of Mbatha in this soap.

Last week, there were lot of posters with Dumi in this show which left many people confused, little did they know that Dumi is hiding a secret.

They were surprised and excited when they saw him on screen making an appearance.

This was the first time that Mkokstad plays in a professional TV drama S he last acted back in the years when he was in High school and he had to drop out because he was embarrassed due to the fact that he was young.

However, shooting this show made him to learn a lot of things especially that he was playing the role of himself. The Mbize hitmaker stated that usually when people uses his name in script,he never asks them but in this show he had to ask them and that is his role.
