Check out this SA minister at the queen funeral, this caused a stir on social media

One of the many foreign leaders that attended Queen Elizabeth II’s state burial at Westminster Abbey in London on September 19 was President Cyril Ramaphosa. Naledi Pandor, the Minister of International Relations and Cooperation (Dirco), also represented South Africa at the momentous occasion.

The minister’s hat selection for the funeral did not impress Mzansi tweeps, and one even made a comparison between her and well-known American WWE wrestler The Undertaker.

The Queen was put to rest at the King George VI Memorial Chapel, on the grounds of Windsor Castle, after a private family service, and it was a sad day for the United Kingdom and the rest of the globe as hundreds of dignitaries arrived to pay their final respects.

Pandor opted for a straightforward black dress, but many people who attended the burial noticed her choice of headgear.

As soon as the minister’s hat choice for the Queen’s burial at Westminster Abbey was revealed, jokes about it flooded Twitter. Her headgear was deemed “very South African” by one Twitter user.

Naledi Pandor neglected to bring a cap to the memorial service. Bheki Cele let her borrow one. (That’s my account, and I’m sticking to it! ),” one person wrote.
