Bhodloza Nzimande and Khathinde Tshatha will be honored for promoting Maskandi Music on Ukhozi FM.
Two of the Ukhozi FM top broadcasters Welcome Bhodloza and Khathinde Tshatha will be honored for their efforts in promoting Maskandi Music on Ukhozi FM, the commemoration will be held at Moses Mabhida stadium on the 30th of July. The good news was declared by Xolani Mcineka on the media news platform this weekend. Minka said that he hopes that the decision he and his team took to honor the two icons for their role in promoting Maskandi Music which is rather despised by many.
They want to honor Bhodloza in 2020 but were disturbed by his death. As for Khathinde, they are also a lot that he has done to promote Maskandi genres. He further said that Khathinde’s contributions were not linked to anyone but himself alone. He said many people that are close to him do not respect him but expect him to be respected by other people, but now he expects that respect begins with those that are close to him first.
In a press conference two Maskandi artist who has been in the industry for years but now is no longer recognized. These are Isimakwana Sikiza Ngubane and Shumilenzinzwa were left stranded as they were promised time to come up again but it was all in vain. This will not be the end of giving chances to the new artist as plans are in place to honor more next year. An artist who will be performing on stage includes Imithente, Shwi, Ali Mfundo, Thokozani Langa, Mdumazi, Njoko, Khuzani, Amageza Amahke, Jaiva Zimnike, Nyonemhlophe, Ngiga Ndhlovu, Ithwasa Lekhansela, Amagcukumane, Amakikelambuso, Qhosha, and Dlubheke.
Mncineka said he was very happy with the opportunity he finally got after spending thirteen years in music. He said he would handle the opportunity like a baby because people would be able to see him live. He also revealed that Mpucuzeko and the eThekwini Municipality have entered into a three-year partnership agreement, this year. He lastly revealed a list of other instrumentalists and senior artists who will be honored later.
