All about Amanda||Do you still remember Amanda Du-Pont

Du-Pont was born in Manzini, Swaziland, on June 26, 1988. She has Swazi, Italian, French, and Portuguese ancestry. She grew up in Manzini and shared a home with her Swati relative Alulutho Du Pont. They eventually relocated to Mpumalanga to complete their education at Uplands College.


 

 

In addition to playing recurrent roles in the popular South African television series Skeem Saam, Du-Pont starred in the 2014 movie Between Friends. She and Phat Joe co-hosted the SABC 1 celebrity lifestyle magazine shows Real Goboza from 2012 to 2016.

She has acted in a number of shows including the CW drama Life is Wild, Muvhango, Intersexions, Generations, Loxion Bioscopeseries on Mzanzi TV, and the 2015 motion picture Hear Me Move. Du-Pont was confirmed to participate in the Netflix suspense series Shadow in February 2019.

Du Pont received a Bachelor of Arts degree in 2011 from Johannesburg’s South African School of Motion Picture and Live Performance. She received a full scholarship for academic excellence and graduated from the New York Film Academy in New York City the following year.
